Bratislava | 11°C
Let’s stroll through the historic Pressburg with our professional guide and discover all the best monuments of Bratislava! The walk starts on the Danube embankment – on the place where you can observe how Bratislava has changed over the years. On the Námestie Ľudovíta Štúra (Ludovit Stur´s Square) and in front of the St. Martin’s Cathedral we remember the pompous coronation ceremonies of Hungarian rulers. Step by step the tour continues along numerous historic sites, such as palaces from the 18th century, old Academia Istropolitana or Michalská brána (Michael’s Gate) – one of the symbols of the town, up to the Hlavné námestie (Main Square) – the heart of the historic centre with the Old Town Hall, the Maximilian Fountain and with a lot of small art-nouveau cafes. Through the charming narrow medieval streets you wander back to the Danube – in front of the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre and the Concert Hall Reduta where our tour finishes.
